Android Developer

I independently designed and developed this application from scratch. It was created for students preparing for university entrance exams, allowing them to take tests, receive results, and access study materials, all within one app. The technologies I used included:

  • Java for programming
  • SQLite for the database
  • Slim framework and PHP for the server-side connections

Android Developer

As my second personal project, I developed an Android application that helps users find and navigate to nearby gas stations. The technologies I used include:

  • Java for programming
  • SQLite for the database
  • Foursquare API for information extraction
  • Google Maps for location services and routing

Android Developer

In 2018, I ventured into game development by creating an arcade Android game called BizzoPop. The game reached the top charts in Iran for two weeks, thanks to its simplicity and lightweight design:

  • Java for programming
  • SQLite for the database
  • Slim framework and PHP for the server-side connections
  • Adobe Photoshop for UI design

Generate Faces with Specific Attributes on CelebA

2020
https://github.com/alitavanaali/GenerateFacesOnCelebA

University Project

For a university project in our Deep Learning course, my colleague and I developed a cGAN (Conditional Generative Adversarial Network) model to generate faces using the CelebA dataset. Technologies used:

  • Python
  • GAN / cGAN
  • Image pre-processing (openCV)

Question and Answering on SQUAD dataset

2021
https://github.com/alitavanaali/QuestionAnsweringOnSQUAD

University Project

For another project in our Natural Language Processing course, we implemented a question-and-answer system by fine-tuning a BERT model on the Wikipedia (SQUAD) dataset. Technologies used:

  • Python
  • BERT

MusiComb

2022
https://github.com/alitavanaali/musicomb

University Project

As part of a university project, I developed MusicComb, an AI-powered music generator. The application utilizes a pretrained model of MidiComb and applies Constraint Programming for decision-making across different music tracks. It integrates two datasets: GrooveDrum and CommuMidi, ensuring a rich variety of musical patterns. Additionally, I implemented a Flask-based user interface to allow for seamless interaction with the application. Technologies used:

  • Python
  • Librosa
  • Flask
  • Constraint Programming

Annotator Assistant

2023
https://github.com/alitavanaali/AnnotatorAssistant

Personal Project

In 2023, I developed a web application for annotating visual documents. The application converts PDFs to images, applies OCR technology to read the documents, and includes a comprehensive visual data annotator. It is integrated with AI technology to automate the document annotation process and streamline dataset preparation. Technologies used:

  • Python
  • PyMuPDF
  • Flask
  • Google Vision OCR
